Science Teacher
London Gates (SIA "London Gates Daugava", Reg. nr: 40103869926) is an international education project in English for children from 5 to 17 years old. We really appreciate our team and are proud of it, and now we are looking for teacher of Humanities for our branch in Riga.
Teaching Science at London Gates is similar to being an orchestra conductor, but instead of musicians you’ll have different subjects in the field of Science. We’ve developed our programme to fit the british curriculum for Science and provide our students with basic knowledge of different fields of science to help them prepare for such exams as GCSE as well as to learn to use Science in their real life. In our lessons we discover how plants grow, figure out what our universe consists of and conduct experiments!
If you are ready for the journey towards understanding the most curious creatures on Earth, humans, then you are the one we are looking for!
Our candidate:
- is studying Biology, Chemistry or Physics or has a degree or working experience in those or similar fields (i.e. Medicine)
- is able and wants to interact with children, conduct lessons, games and activities
- speaks excellent English (minimum level - Upper-Intermediate/Advanced)
- charismatic, artistic, creative and has a wealth of knowledge
A great addition would be a knowledge of GCSE program.
This is a part-time position which can easily be combined with another job or studies. Lessons are held on Saturdays (all day) or Tuesdays-Thursdays (mornings), we start with 3-4 lessons and move on to having up tp 10 lessons per week. The payment rate is 16-21 euros per 45-minute lesson.
