English, new experiences, and friends for life — London Gates Camp

We’ve created a camp where every child feels part of something bigger.
Here, they learn to understand others, discover themselves, and explore the world around them.
They try new things, make mistakes, and grow stronger with every step.
We want this place to be a source of inspiration — a second home where they can truly be themselves and always want to return.
English-speaking environment
For us, English isn’t just a subject — it’s the language our camp lives in.
We discuss the Roman Empire, debate the origins of humankind, stage theatrical sketches, and play games like Crocodile — all in English.
Children get so absorbed in what’s happening that they hardly notice they’re speaking English all the time.
Theme days
Each day brings a new adventure: from space travel and great geographical discoveries to the birth of cinema and the Olympic Games.
Our camp program is refreshed every year, so there’s always something new to explore.
A warm and motivating atmosphere
Children are surrounded by caring London Gates instructors who inspire and support them, and by friends with whom it’s sometimes easy, sometimes challenging — but always exciting.
It’s a place where every child feels part of a big, energetic team.

  • Instructors — London Gates teachers
Only our own team works at the camp — London Gates teachers, linguists, historians, artists, and actors who work with children throughout the school year.
They know how to engage, explain complex ideas in simple ways, and create an atmosphere where every child feels valued and included.
We believe there should be no random people working with children.
  • Program by the experts at London Gates
The camp program was developed by our methodologists and psychologists — the same experts who have been creating London Gates courses for years and know what truly works.
We use the CLIL method: children learn English naturally, without textbooks — through conversations, creative projects, and games.
That’s how the language becomes part of their everyday life.
And yes, we’ve added a few of our secret tricks — sign your child up to find out what they are!
  • A camp for children — and a holiday for the whole family
We’ve designed several formats so that everyone can find the right fit.
For children, we offer summer sessions in Sigulda, full of learning and adventure.
For parents with preschoolers, we’ve created a family program at a cozy eco-hotel nearby — the perfect mix of rest, nature, and shared experiences.

  • We live in English
The entire program takes place in English — we switch to it the moment we get on the bus.
There are no traditional lessons or desks. Instead, we live in English: we have breakfast, play football, stage performances — everything happens in English.
The only exception is our Evening Candle — a quiet reflection circle where children share their feelings and impressions of the day. This part is held in Russian.
  • 21st-century skills
Throughout the camp, we work together on a large creative project — a theatrical performance.
Children take on different roles, build the sets themselves, rehearse, and finally perform on stage for their parents.
This process helps them develop essential 21st-century skills — teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and the confidence to present their ideas.
  • Time without gadgets
Phones and tablets are collected on the bus.
Children receive their phones only once a day during designated phone time to call their parents and share how their day went.
The rest of the time, they’re fully present — playing, talking, creating, and enjoying real life, offline.
Accommodation and meals
Children stay in cozy guesthouses in Latvia, divided into groups by age and language level.
Each group lives separately, in comfortable rooms for 3–5 people.
Boys and girls are accommodated separately, with instructors always nearby.
Campers enjoy four wholesome, home-cooked meals a day — delicious food prepared by our caring hosts and meeting all standards for children’s recreation.

Leva really enjoyed his time at the camp — he was even a little sad to leave and said he wished he could stay longer.
He told us the food was delicious, especially the breakfast porridge, and he was once again impressed by the tutors — you have a wonderful team of teachers.
In the evenings, he sings camp songs with his friends over speakerphone and says he now has only English songs stuck in his head!
Thank you for the museum trip, and for paying such close attention to the children’s emotional state during those first few days.
Thank you so much — as always, you are the best!
Lyudmila
I really appreciated that all communication — both with the children and among the tutors — was in English.
There was a moment when my son was talking to me in Russian, and one of the tutors came up and began explaining something to him in English, without even trying to switch to Russian.
From that, I understood that speaking English is simply the norm at the camp — and that’s very important to me.

You guys are amazing! I loved everything.
As a parent, I really appreciated the great organization, the clear communication, and the well-structured system of keeping us informed — I never once worried about my child. I trusted you completely with my most precious treasure!
The warm atmosphere of the camp came through even in the daily photos.
Thank you so much for the care, soul, and time you invest in our children. The sincerity in your relationships is so important — especially for teenagers, who feel everything deeply — and it’s truly there.
We’ll be happy to join you again next year. My child was thrilled to see friends from last summer and came back full of inspiration — already talking and sharing emotions on the very next day!
One special note from a language perspective: he told me that this camp was the place where he stopped translating from Russian into English and started thinking in English. I think that’s an amazing result in itself!
Once again, heartfelt thanks to the entire London Gates team.
Anna
My daughter already misses her new friends and her time at camp!
Tasya absolutely loves your camp — this was her fourth summer there, and each time she spends it happily and meaningfully.
She enjoys having new activities and challenges every day, the chance to be creative and inventive, and the feeling of being truly immersed in the English-speaking environment.
Thank you so much for making this possible!

We, both our son and we as parents, really enjoyed the final performance. The children and counselors worked so hard!
Sasha told us right away about the time they spent preparing for the play and the performance itself. He especially mentioned Oceania Day, the museum trip, and Circus Day.
He was excited to share stories, show us his “world,” and even brought a special box from the camp. He also loved talking about the fair.
I think he truly enjoyed every single activity!
